Hey All,
I just purchased Advanced Font Viewer, and I really like it! I have thousands of fonts, and it makes the process of finding and picking one about as easy as it can be. I have a suggested feature for future releases, and what I believe is a bug.
The feature: It would be nice to have the option to move a font to a specific folder, rather than just copy it. Part of the reason I bought this program is to organize my fonts, and I have folder set up for serif/sans etc. If I want to move a font from my "unsorted" folder to one of these subcatagories, I have to open up the folder in explorer, and cut and paste, then jump back to the program. *OR* there could be a tag feature, so that you can apply tags such as "serif", "calligraphic", "ugly", etc., and then I could do away with the subfolders altogether. Just a thought.
The bug: The refresh feature is not perfect. If I move fonts around, they show up in the new folder, but the preview doesn't. The blank space in the preview field remains even if I hit refresh, or restart the program. I have to restart the computer for the fonts to show up. In the short term, is there a registry key that I can reset so that I don't have to restart the computer every time I move fonts around? Or another workaround? Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks,
Max |

I'm happy to say that the refresh button now resolves that bug I mentioned at the top of this thread.
As far as the ability to move fonts when using the browser, in addition to just copying them, this is still something that I would be interested in. You could add it to the 'Special' right click menu, right next to "copy to folder".
Thanks for your continued development of this product, it gets better with every release. |
